In 1981, the Press Club of Cleveland began honoring journalism at its best by inducting the first class into the Press Club of Cleveland Hall of Fame.
That first class included the likes of TV legend Dorothy Fuldheim and Louis Seltzer, the fabled editor of the Cleveland Press.
Since then, more than 200 people have been inducted into the Press Club of Cleveland Hall of Fame – journalists who practiced and stood for the best of their craft, speaking truth to power, afflicting the comfortable, comforting the afflicted, effecting change and telling the stories that people remember.
The Press Club of Cleveland’s mission is to remind everyone that journalism matters – perhaps now more than ever. One of the most important ways we do that is by honoring these journalists who made their work matter.
